Homemade Embossing Paste Recipe (From France Martin.  Thanks France!)
1/4 c. cornstarch
1 T. inexpensive glue (Elmer's, etc.)
1 T. inexpensive white acrylic paint
1 T. water (approximately!)

Mix together cornstarch, glue and paint.  Gradually add enough water to make your paste spreadable (not runny).  Amount of water depends on thickness of glue and paint. Stir together until there are NO lumps.  Spread over stencil using a palette knife, spreader, old credit or gift card.  Wash off stencil, etc. right away.

For future uses, save leftover paste in an airtight container to prevent it from drying out. Creates a good white paste.  You can custom colour your paste with acrylic paints and other colouring mediums.

Please follow challenge rules:
  1. Must be a card with a CAS (clean and simple) design (including open space)
  2. Must include at least three components listed on challenge badge
  3. Include link to challenge in your entry post
  4. When linking to challenge, link to your entry post

CAS Mix Up April's Monthly Picks

Wow! We had so many wonderful entries in our Inlaid Die Cut Challenge!  We enjoyed each and every one. Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us!

Our Top Pick for April
Marianne
(Marianne's cards 'n stuff)

Marianne's mix of white and colored butterflies with some inlaid and some not,
made for interesting texture and dimension and still maintained a clean
and simple design! The sentiment stamped on vellum is perfect as it doesn't
block any of the butterfly beauty!

Congratulations, Marianne
